46th District Court
The Southfield District Court is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The 46th District Court handles cases out of Southfield, Lathrup Village, Beverly Hills, Franklin Village, Bingham Farms, and Southfield Township. The 46th District Court is served by three elected judges and two appointed magistrates.
This court has jurisdiction to handle misdemeanor cases (cases with a maximum possible sentence of one year), preliminary examinations on all felonies, and violations of probation for any defendant sentenced to probation in that court.
