Drunk Driving Definition

Operating or driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. An OWI charge can be issued to someone driving a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent or greater (the “legal limit”). Whether you’re driving a car, a boat, or any other form of motorized vehicle, this rule applies. Drunk driving also includes when someone’s ability to operate their vehicle is substantially affected by the consumption of alcohol or if they are visibly impaired.
