Weapon Definition

A weapon is a thing used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage or designed to cause bodily harm or incapacitation. Some weapons are considered “weapons” because they are designed to harm a person. Other items become weapons only because they are used in such a way that they are likely to cause harm or kill a person. For example, a car can be a weapon if driven intentionally into a crowd to harm people. A gun is a weapon because it is designed to cause bodily harm.
