MCL 769.4a Definition

MCL 769.4a provides for a first offense domestic violence to be taken under advisement and dismissed if the defendant successfully completes a term of probation. A court can only grant MCL 769.4a with the prosecution’s consent. This law enables first-time offenders facing domestic violence charges to keep their records clean.
